How We Help
Our services are designed to support each member of the family. Not only improving their mental health, wellbeing, and resilience, but offering them the opportunity to take time out and enhance their quality of life. All Charlie House services are delivered entirely free of charge thanks to the generosity of our donors, funders, and supporters.
Our current support includes:
- 1-2-1 and group emotional and therapeutic support sessions, including pre and post bereavement support
- Home, school and hospital visits for parents, carers and siblings
- Monthly activity sessions providing families with opportunities to try new activities, socialise and enjoy time together
- Parents group meetings to share information, build peer support networks and try new activities
- Sibling groups and teen sibling groups, where brothers & sisters of supported children can have fun and spend time with peers in a similar situation
- Holiday activities providing additional activities during school holidays to reduce isolation and encourage peer support
- An activity short break for families where they can take part in a range of accessible activities and gain a sense of achievement while enjoying family time together
- Advocacy support from a specially trained Charlie House staff member
- A private family Facebook page providing 24-hour access to activities and information
