ReCHarge Café

ReCHarge Café is a social enterprise located in the Upper Mall of Bon Accord with 100% of profits made going to support local children’s charity Charlie House.

Charlie House supports babies, children and young people with complex disabilities and life-limiting conditions, and their families, in the North-east of Scotland.

When you first enter our welcoming and comfortable space, head to the servery area at the back of the café where one of our staff members will be waiting to take your order. We also have volunteers who gift their time to support us in the café, they will be eager to tell you more about Charlie House and how your cup of coffee makes a real difference! Either select some of our cold selection –sandwiches, tasty salads, fruit pots or cold drinks –from the ‘Grab N Go’ fridge or give your order for hot items to the ReCHarge team –soup, paninis, hot drinks. You can also help yourself to our sweet treats on offer –cakes, scones, tray bakes –including gluten-free options.

The ReCHarge staff member will ask, “How much do you think that is worth?’ There are suggested donations on some of the fridge items and also a handy board behind the servery advising on the average prices of similar food items in the city to help you make an informed decision.

You then tell us what you think your food order is worth, pay for your delicious food, and either take it away or grab a seat and enjoy in our comfortable café surroundings. Log onto the WiFi and spend some time relaxing, safe in the knowledge that your snack, tea break or lunch has supported a local children’s charity.
