Join the festive fun at the Santa Run on the 17th of November.
Santa Paws & Claus welcome!
On November 17th, Aberdeen city centre will see a flurry of Santa Paws and Claus running in support of Charlie House. This year, participants will take on a 1km route, starting at Holburn Junction and finishing outside the Aberdeen Art Gallery, where they will receive a well-deserved medal.
The race begins at 5:25pm, Santas are challenged to complete the 1km race within 30 minutes—no sleighs allowed! The event also marks the start of Aberdeen’s annual Christmas parade, giving families the chance to be part of the festive celebrations.
Open to all abilities, including wheelchair users, participants must be aged 16 or over to register themselves. Those aged 15 and under must be registered and accompanied by an adult throughout the event. And of course, Santa Paws must be accompanied by a participating adult!

Please note that you must be 16 years of age or older on event day to register. Those aged 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult during the event.
We're looking for festive volunteers to become part of our Santa Squad. You can help check in participants, hand out Santa outfits, be part of the cheer squad, and more! Whether it's yourself, with family, or teaming up with a bunch of your friends, we want to hear from you.
Volunteering will take place around the city centre between 3PM - 6PM with the Santa Squad being placed around Union Street, Carden Place, or Fountainhall Church, formerly known as Queens Cross Church. Positions are based on your interests and skills and volunteers must be aged 16 and above.
Last year Santa run was so much fun. It was really great seeing a sea of Santas running down Union Street, it gets us all excited for the festive season!
